Pioneer/Enid Cellular to Accelerate Rollout of 'Voice Dialing' Services Through
Special Arrangement With Preferred Voice
First Deployment for Preferred Voice in the State of Oklahoma
DALLAS, May 22 - Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PFVI)
announced today that it has entered the Oklahoma wireless market and will be
offering its speech recognition services through its alliance with Pioneer/Enid
Cellular. Preferred's leading edge technology enables wireless carriers
nationwide to offer voice-activated services to their subscribers using current
equipment and existing calling plans. The Company's voice-activated dialing is a
trend-setting new feature that offers a safer alternative to touch-tone dialing
to place phone calls, especially while driving. Citing increased concerns
regarding driving and cell phone use, Pioneer/Enid Cellular will begin making
Preferred's voice dialing service available to its entire subscriber base
through a special arrangement with Preferred Voice. Preferred Voice has similar
arrangements with other major wireless carriers. Service will be available in
late July of this year under the name ``Voice Dialing''.
Preferred Voice
markets innovative speech recognition services to wireless and other
telecommunications providers across the United States. These services include,
voice dialing, voice mail navigation, directory assistance and information
content that does not require the subscriber to buy or install any extra
equipment. Additionally, all of these voice services overlay on their existing
wireless phones, as a voice alternative to touchtone.
"We're excited to
work with Pioneer/Enid to bring the safety of Voice Dialing services to all
their customers," said G. Ray Miller, president and CEO of Preferred Voice. "We
look forward to making additional voice enhanced services available to this
important market."
"The addition of voice-activated dialing to our
extensive line of value- added features is a perfect match," commented Janice
Wiese, Marketing Manager of Pioneer/Enid Cellular. "Voice Dialing enables our
customers to enjoy the benefits of virtually hands-free use of their wireless
phones, significantly increasing its convenience and safety."
