Private-Label Voice Portal Solutions to Add Incremental Revenues
DALLAS, Sept 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board: PFVI - news) headquartered here, today announced an alliance with
privately held Indicast Corporation to market a new voice-accessed content
service to Preferred's expanding network of telecommunication customers. Based
in Carlsbad, California, Indicast is widely regarded as the industry leader in
the development and deployment of private label voice accessed content services.
Preferred Voice, which has exclusive, long term agreements in place to
provide speech driven services to 38 US carriers, and recently announced plans
to rollout a voice activated dialing product called ``Safety Talk '' to 26 of
these carriers by year end, said that content represents ``A very important
incremental revenue opportunity, both for us our carrier/partners.''
Indicast's voice-accessed content offers both wireless and wireline
users access to a variety of information including breaking news, sports scores,
stock quotes, weather, movie times, and much more, via their existing telephones
by issuing intuitive voice commands. The new service will be made available to
carriers for commercial launch immediately and marketed to subscribers under
various product names. Indicast will manage and maintain the content's database
and the service will be delivered over Preferred Voice's own private VoIP
network. Both companies will market the service to their current telecom
customers, and then later more broadly to the industry.
