Successful
DALLAS, TX. March 7, 2002 -- Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTCBB:
PFVI), the leading network-based speech application provider, today announced
that its Carrier Services Group has completed marketing agreements with two
additional wireless and wireline carriers, bringing the number of carriers that
have signed exclusive multi-year, revenue-sharing contracts to 48. The company
said the two new carriers, Northeast Colorado Cellular of Fort Morgan, Colorado
and MobileTel of Houma, Louisiana, are expected to begin deployment of Preferred
Voice's voice recognition services by the second quarter of 2002.
Preferred Voice, Inc. has developed cost-effective, turn-key solutions
that enable both wireline and wireless carriers to offer their subscribers
revenue producing voice recognition services, including Voice Activated Dialing.
"Our list of carrier partners continues to grow as more and more wireless
providers demonstrate their commitment to voice recognition services and to the
safety concerns of their subscribers," said Bill Schereck, President and COO for
Preferred Voice. "This agreement with Northeast Colorado Cellular and MobileTel
is yet another positive step in insuring Preferred Voice's role as the only
viable speech recognition provider to telecommunications carriers."
Initially these carriers will be providing their subscribers with
Preferred Voice's voice activated dialing service, but additional voice
recognition services, such as BusinessConnect, a call completion service to
