Dobson Cellular Announces Launch of Preferred Voice Services
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - April 16, 2002 - Dobson Cellular Systems, a subsidiary of
Dobson Communications (NASDAQ: DCEL), today announced it has completed
deployment of equipment allowing the company to offer voice activated dialing
services through Dallas-based Preferred Voice (OTC Bulletin Board: PFVI).
Dobson will market VoiceDialTM service throughout its 17-state coverage
area for a monthly charge of $2.99, a company spokesman said. The new service
will allow customers to pre-program unlimited names and numbers on their
wireless telephones. These programmed numbers can be recalled and dialed by
speaking the name or number.
Preferred Voice will service the VoiceDial
product through its technology, connectivity, provisioning and billing software.
