Preferred Voice Brings Box Office Smash Hit Meet the Fockers Movie
Moments To Its Leading Ringback Service
Replay Meet the Fockers funniest moments for your friends when they call you
on your mobile phone; Immediately available to subscribers of First Cellular of
Southern Illinois
DALLAS, TX - January 26, 2005 - Preferred Voice, Inc. (PVI)
(OTCBB: PFVI), a leading provider of personalization and entertainment
services, today announced it is bringing Meet the Fockers movie moments to
its leading ringback service. Ringback tones including those from the movie
soundtrack, movie clips, and interviews are now available to wireless carriers
who use Preferred Voice's ringback service. The hit motion picture retained its
first place rating for the weekend box office, earning $41.7 million. The movie
grossed more than $162.5 million during its initial 12-day run. These new
ringback movie tones will be immediately available to subscribers of First
Cellular of Southern Illinois.
Ringback tones are hot and the demand is growing. Ringbacks offer a very
lucrative way for consumers to personalize their wireless experience and we are
excited to have been the first to launch in the U.S. and to bring some of the
first movie tones to the ringback service, said Latif Nathani, CEO of
Preferred Voice.
PVI teamed with Versaly Entertainment to bring Meet the Fockers movie moments
to PVI's ringback service. PVI was the first to launch ringbacks in the U.S.
with First Cellular of Southern Illinois and recently announce it will launch
with PTCI in the Southern U.S. Preferred Voice is only one of two providers in
the U.S. who have commercially launched ringbacks in the U.S.
PVI's ringbacks allow subscribers to personalize their telephone experience and
entertain their callers with favorite music tracks, sound effects and
self-created messages by enabling users to choose an audio file that callers
will listen to while the phone is ringing. Unlike downloadable ringtones, which
reside on the handset, ringback tones reside on the network. Because ringback
tones are network-based and do not reside on devices, both wireless and
wireline carriers can offer this service.
PVI has integrated ringbacks as a core product in its mobile personalization
service My Phone Services Suite for wireless carriers that provide a new
breed of wireless applications enabling user-centric communications. In
addition to ringbacks, the suite includes tightly integrated products including
the Advanced Network Address Book, Network Voice Activated Dialing,
Push2Connect, and SmartLine.
